Franck the Tank! The cliche nickname that no other Franck could possibly live up to quite like our French Franck & our AOTM for March! You’ll see him floating about, sporting the gyms most stylish moustache… unless of course he is on the rower, in which case he’ll be going so fast you won’t see him at all!
Don’t be fooled though; Franck is far more than his moustache styling skills and incredibly powerful rowing ability. He’s a super consistent, ever-smiling 6pm’er with an infallible ability to pick up visual cues in his utmost determination to be coached in a foreign language. Nowadays, Franck’s fluidity in English easily matches his superb training work ethic as he continues to outwit and outperform the masses!
Jokes aside, Franck has embodied all that Niche stands for from the moment he walked through the doors. He works hard and has the kindest soul! Franck adds so much fun and colour to our ever-growing family and we could not be happier to have him!

Why did you start CrossFit?
I started CrossFit for many reasons:
The first one like everyone knows at the gym my level of English was close to 0 when I first came. The most important things for me was to improve my language.
The second: I’m someone who like the challenges and CrossFit appeared as the perfect challenge to get in to. Before I arrived in Australia I crossed France by foot 1000k, 35 days in the mountain. Afterwards I didn’t exercise for a couples of month so CrossFit was the type of training I was looking for. Intensity, Stamina and Strength.
The last reason: Because I have plans for more hiking in the future and obviously I need to stay fit.
What is your most memorable moment to date?
Jamie trying to kill the 6pm crew with strength every 1:30 for 15 mins instead of 3:00 for 15 mins. So much extra fitness!
What is your most and least favourite WOD or movement?
Favourite: Rower WOD
What tip would you give someone just starting in CrossFit?
Do not give up. More you train, better you feel. Better you feel, stronger you are.
What keeps you coming back to CrossFit?
You guys keeps me coming back at the gym it’s a very friendly place. A big high five to the coaches. You Stacey for your contagious laugh and Jamie with such of the most beautiful smile around. I miss the roughness of Big uncle Ray sometimes tho ahahah. The gym wouldn’t be the same without the energy and effort you guys put in.
What is one random, non-CrossFit ‘thing’ about yourself?
I have a dark chocolate issue.
