Trainer Introduction

Tristan has been coaching clients and athletes for well over a decade. Starting with triathletes he soon found a passion in helping others to achieve the best from themselves. After finishing his studies in exercise physiology and becoming an Accredited Exercise Physiologist his scientific mind bought him to the CrossFit methodology.

This is not only how he trains himself but also where he passes on his knowledge to his athletes and clients.

Tristan focuses his coaching on biomechanics and making sure that each athlete can do the basic functional movements before moving on to the more complex (fun) movements.

Why CrossFit?
Due to the cross over it has to everyday movements. It shows you where you are weak, strong or missing stability/mobility and then when programmed well gives you the tools to work on them. Plus my ass gets handed to me each and every workout.

I came from an endurance background and burnt out due to do the same thing at such a high rate. CrossFit offers me such a varied stimulus and has kept me fit.

Why Exercise Physiology?
Because Exercise is Medicine! The science coming out now is show us just how important movement is to help battle chronic conditions/pain. This is why I want to use movement to empower the lives of my clients.

Why Coaching?
I am passionate about make each and every human better at what they do on a day to day basis. I love the variety from helping some stand up from a chair for the first time after being in a wheel chair to snatching a new personal best and everything in between. I enjoy being able to problem solve, find out how to get the most out of a person no matter their illness, injury, age etc.
