Jamie started her CrossFit journey as an athlete back in 2011 and has embraced every aspect of CrossFit into her life ever since. In 2014, Jamie took her CrossFit level 1 and kick stared her coaching career.
As an athlete, Jamie is an absolute role model in showing just how far we can come when we are patient, consistent, hardworking and most importantly when we ‘respect the process’.
It’s a great way to keep fit, strong, mentally stimulated, and healthy! As a bonus, you get to embrace the wonderful, chalky, sweaty mess, the loud music, the incredible feeling after each session, and of course the people. The camaraderie, mentoring, encouragement, laughs and the friendships; quite like nothing I’ve encountered before.
There’s nothing quite like watching and enabling someone’s confidence and belief in themselves grow, since they started CrossFit. Whether it’s improving their fitness level, changing body shape, achieving better movement patterns; being able to help people achieve their goals is an amazing feeling. Coaching is truly rewarding and sets my soul on fire!
It’s far too difficult to pic just one! My favourite WOD’s would involve the likes of double-unders, box jumps, pull-ups, kettlebell swings and HSPU’s. It’d be a couplet or triplet and involve 3 rounds for time.

Top Coaching Tip
- Don’t take yourself too seriously, enjoy yourself, and don’t be afraid to spread the love & be proud!
- Understand that sometimes it’s really going to suck, but if you’re patient and consistent, results will continue to come.
- Bring no ego. Do your best and try not to compare yourself to others that have been training for a years. Let them be your inspiration instead.
- Listen to your coaches and ask questions.
- Work on your mobility.
- Do more burpees.
