Trainer Introduction
Passionate. Energetic. Adventurous.
Why CrossFit?
Physical development: My aim is to be fit for life, for a long time. I want to be able to do things like move house, go for hikes, try new sports and not be limited by my physical capacity. Crossfit as a “sport” is incredible and that adrenaline from competition is the best but when I’m 90 I want to be able to pick myself up off the ground and carry my own groceries.

Mental toughness: Nothing builds mental resilience like 150 walls balls for time. CrossFit is always humbling, never boring, always stimulating, I will never run out of ways to get better at something every single day.

Community: Getting fit and hanging out in a positive environment 4 to 6 days a week – it’s no wonder it’s one of the best hours of my day.  The camaraderie, dance moves between sets, high fives and hugs are the building blocks of friendships and whatkeeps us all coming back day after day.

Why Coaching?
One of my goals in life is to help improve the lives, health and happiness of people in my community. Unfortunately in my many years as a Pharmacist, the majority of people you see everyday have given up and accepted their poor health prognosis as a life sentence. That nothing can be done about it, or they’re not willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make those positive changes to their health.

Coaching provides me with an opportunity to help athletes not just get physically stronger and more capable, but also help individuals to adapt, grow, and evolve as human beings. To be able to play a role in motivating and guiding someone to be a better version of themselves, is a privilege and a responsibility that I’m so grateful to have.

Favourite Wod
Give me an EMOM (every minute on the minute) any day.  I enjoy combining the non conventional (sled push/farmers carry), mixed with cardio (assault bike or double unders), with some gymnastics (handstand hold or core work) and the good old barbell (or dumbbells).
